House of Arches

Project Year: 2025   Location: Chandigarh, India
Set within a generous 9,800 sq.ft. plot in Chandigarh, House of Arches is a 13,500 sq.ft. residence that embodies quiet luxury through restraint, balance, and sculptural clarity. Conceived with complete creative freedom and an exceptional level of trust from the client, the home unfolds as a deeply considered spatial narrative—where architecture and interiors exist in seamless dialogue.

At its core, the design explores soft geometry and rhythmic arches, lending the home its distinct identity. These sculptural elements are complemented by a refined material palette—subtle yet warm, tactile yet understated—creating an atmosphere that feels both elevated and deeply comforting.

The residence is thoughtfully distributed across three levels:
  • Ground Floor: Designed for gathering and hosting, this level accommodates expansive communal spaces including a formal living room, family lounge, dining area, kitchen, and two guest suites. These spaces extend effortlessly into the front and rear lawns, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.
  • First Floor:
Envisioned as a private sanctuary, this level houses the master suite, daughter’s suite, an additional guest bedroom, a family lounge, pantry, and a serene mandir—each space designed with a sense of intimacy and calm.
  • Second Floor:
Dedicated to leisure and wellness, the top level features a party lounge, gym, spa, powder room, and an open terrace—offering a more relaxed, experiential dimension to the home.
House of Arches is not merely a residence—it is an exploration of timeless design, where material honesty and thoughtful restraint come together to create spaces that are both enduring and deeply personal. Every detail has been carefully orchestrated to evoke a sense of quiet elegance, reflecting a lifestyle that values comfort, refinement, and intentional living.
